What you will do
The CBM is the representative accountable for project management, supporting a geographical variety of sites. Project management responsibilities include the coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope. Oversee all aspects of projects. Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize progress of project. Prepare reports for upper management regarding status of project.
Responsibilities include:
Determine required resources and monitor work plan compliance
Ensure timely completion of projects, within budget and scope Â
Adhere to and implement safety protocol
Manage subcontractor relations
Engage the relevant internal stakeholders
Develop the project plan and monitor progress
Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
Performance measurement using project management techniques
Manage the relationship with the client and relevant stakeholders
Identify and manage risks
Maintain project documentation
Manage budgetary objectives and project constraints by conducting financial analysis
Change Order and Variation documentation, costing and management
Project Scope RFI's and relevant documentation
Review of code and regulatory documentation
Ability to undertake both scheduled and ad hoc field observations and inspections
Proficiency with report writing, design review/support, commissioning support, Quality Assurance / Testing
Use and continually develop leadership skills
Provide timely and effective communications with all employee levels within the project, the Customer's organization, and JCI.
Share process improvements and lessons learned with peers
Develop spreadsheets, flow diagrams and process maps
Perform other related duties as assigned
What we look for
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience in a Facility Management, Construction or Project Management discipline with 5+ years' experience
Experience with directing, planning, developing projects
Experience in management of multi-disciplinary teams and working groups.
Development and/or adherence to critical environment policies and procedures
Knowledge, experience with development and/or practice with emergency management plans
Minor works project experience involving the affected operations
Major works project impact experience in dealing with existing operations that may include such groups as occupational health & safety, administration, critical environments, etc.
Major works project experience in dealing with architects, design engineers, general contractors, mechanical & electrical contractors, special systems installers, etc.
Familiarity with Mechanical Systems (HVAC, Boilers, Chillers, Pumps, CRAC Units, etc.)
Experience working on mission critical projects
Experience with post construction warranty period review and rectification by applicable contractor
Lead Customer meetings
Oversee performance reviews for all on-site FM Team members and primary sub-contractors.
Manage Contract Compliance requirements
Perform periodic planned and random site ‘evaluation inspections' to continuously monitor front line performance
Promote a Facility Management Team culture oriented to Customer Satisfaction and Continuous Improvement.
Proficiency with Microsoft office suite of products (specifically Word, Excel, MS Project)
Ability to adapt to new software programs
Ability to multi-task and manage priorities
Good communication - both verbal and written
