Senior Project Architect - Workplace Interiors (Finance)

Role description:

Arcadis is seeking an experienced Senior Project Architect to join our growing Architecture + Urbanism team in the Bay Area, contributing to the design of a range of projects. In this role, you'll work closely with key Bay Area Arcadis clients on workplace campus programming, planning, architectural design, and design management, including engineering coordination. Ability to work daily in-person in the San Jose, CA, area is required.

Role accountabilities:

  • Work with senior Arcadis design leaders to provide conceptual and detailed design for campus-scale workplace projects, as well as individual architectural solutions for new and existing buildings. Lead the production and coordination of design packages through all project phases-from Concept Design through to Construction Documentation
  • Oversee the development and integration of design solutions, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and regulations
  • Manage multiple projects, providing technical guidance to junior staff and ensure adherence to design intent, quality standards, and client objectives
  • Collaborate closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to facilitate the smooth delivery of projects
  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure alignment with scope and performance goals
  • Manage and mentor staff for design quality, technical detailing, and presentations
  • Negotiate critical and controversial issues with appropriate parties
  • Travel as needed for client meetings, conferences, and internal strategic meetings
  • Support proposal development process, as needed
  • Adopt company-wide processes for customer databases, relationship management, and customer experience

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Professional degree in Architecture and an active California architectural license, LEED Accredited Professional preferred.
  • 10-15 years of experience, with a proven track record in workplace design and project delivery
  • Effective problem solving and interpersonal skills and ability to interface with all clients and employees
  • Proficiency in early phase design tools, including Rhino / SketchUp, as well as documentation tools Revit and AutoCAD, with experience in BIM coordination. Proficiency in MS Office suite, Adobe suite, Bluebeam
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to guide teams through complex technical challenges
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality architectural solutions

Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $118,000- $201,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location. Apply
