Your Impact

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our marketing team as an Associate Manager, Email and Lifecycle Marketing. In this role, the candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing and optimizing email marketing campaigns to drive customer engagement, acquisition, retention and revenue growth. The ideal candidate will understand email marketing best practices and lifecycle marketing strategies. This role is positioned within the Consumer Revenue team and reports directly to the Manager, Email and Lifecycle Marketing. He/She will work on the Lifestyle brands, including Cosmopolitan, Good Housekeeping, The Pioneer Woman and many others. 

What You'll Do: 

  • Plan, create and execute targeted email campaigns, both triggered and ad-hoc, to various customer segments. 
  • Develop and implement lifecycle marketing strategies to nurture and engage customers throughout their journey. 
  • Create personalized and relevant messaging for different states of the customer lifecycle.
  • Continuously analyze customer behavior and adjust strategies to maximize retention and customer lifetime value. 
  • Maintain up-to-date customer journey mapping that outlines all leads and customers communication touchpoints. 
  • Utilize customer data to segment audiences effectively and tailor messages based on customer preferences and behavior. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with overall marketing and business objectives for the Lifestyle brands.  
  • Support creative development and testing to enhance revenue for key brand initiatives.
  • Design and build emails using a WYSIWYG tool, ensuring best practices and accuracy.
  • Monitor and analyze email metrics weekly and monthly, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) offering recommendations to optimize campaign performance.
  • Work to implement and execute A/B testing strategy continuously improving emails by optimizing creative, content, messaging, subject lines etc. 
  • Implement marketing automation workflows to streamline and personalize communication with customers, leveraging tools including our CDP.
  • Generate regular reports on performance for the group's email marketing initiatives. 
  • Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement based on data. 
  • Ensure email marketing campaigns are compliant with regulations, including CAN-SPAM. 

Who You Are: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business or related field.
  • Basic understanding of email and digital marketing principles. 
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Hands-on experience building and deploying emails using ESP (Sailthru, CheetahDigital etc.).
  • Creative and highly organized with working experience in Photoshop.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • A multi-tasker and team player comfortable working across many brands. 
  • Propensity to roll up your sleeves and proactively get things done.
  • Capable of collaborating with cross-functional groups.
  • Detail-oriented with strong project management abilities.
  • Familiarity with HTML and CSS, as well as MS Office and Google Analyt.ics

The base salary for this role is $56,000-$67,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

This role requires the position to be located in New York, NY with an in-office presence of 3 days a week.
