Research Assistant II/III- Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (Finance)
The UTHealth Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at McGovern Medical School is dedicated to advancing the field of rehabilitation through innovative research and clinical trials. Their research activities encompass a wide range of areas, including neuromodulation, spasticity management, and multicenter clinical trials aimed at improving patient outcomes. The candidate will collaborate with investigators in the Dept. of PM&R on pioneering rehabilitation clinical trials, including those involving toxins for spasticity, neuromodulation, and multicenter studies. They will participate in lab meetings, assist with recruitment and consent, manage data entry, apply devices, evaluate outcomes, and disseminate knowledge.
Position Summary:
Under general direction of senior research staff, conducts activities to support research projects. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices.
Position Key Accountabilities:
Certification/Skills:
General knowledge and some detailed concepts of research field assigned.
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in lieu of education.
Minimum Experience:
One year of related experience in a research or clinical lab environment.
May substitute required experience with equivalent years of education beyond the minimum education requirement.
Physical Requirements:
Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
This position may include work involving potentially hazardous chemical, biological or radioactive agents.
