Champ Specialist (Sales)
General Summary: The purpose of the job is to sell and manage the repair and remanufacturing process for select accounts. This position also provides on-site support of customers' inventory at various account locations and proactively pursues new business in partnership with the Account Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
CHAMP
1.Oversees and executes the initial CHAMP agreement:
•Makes sure the CHAMP customer is set up in the Rockwell RAAMP software
•Utilizes the RAAMP software to track customer assets and to generate reports
•Helps the Account Manager negotiate an SPA with Rockwell when needed
•Discusses the margin goals with the Account Manager
•Coordinates the proper ship to and ship via are set up
•Leads the implementation meeting on-site at the customer's location
•Prepares a list of customer specific requests, no upgrades, delivery preferences, etc.
•Generates reports, based on customer reporting requirements
•Hosts, in person, review meetings with customers to review reports
•Provides Rockwell a list of targeted accounts
2.When a repair, remanufacture or warranty is initiated, the CHAMP is required to:
•Verify whether the part is under warranty through the RAAMP software and SAP
•Gather as much information on the part as possible
oArea in the plant, line #, failure issues, etc.
•Research the competition's price and make a recommendation on an additional discount if warranted
•Occasionally enter quotes and orders in Trend and Rockwell's SAP system
CAP & CHAMP
3.Oversees specific CAP and CHAMP account territory / responsible for all CAP and CHAMP-related business & operational issues:
•Drives to customer sites; delivers and stocks order per account specifications. Plans route and independently schedules work flow. Keeps on-site bins clean and uncluttered.
•Completes physical inventory for predetermined items at CAP site; creates a replenishment order to restock bins and maintain set inventory levels. Monitors inventory usage to make suggestions for changing reorder points
•Maintains log of activities pertaining to CAP and CHAMP including an up-to-date Customer contact list
•Follows guidelines for order filling, stocking, receiving and delivery as set by the Warehouse Manager.
•Verifies the order writing and pulling process with Inside Sales and the Warehouse
•Communicates through various channels (in person, written, email, fax, telephone) when quoting and placing orders and the pick-up and delivery of parts with the customer and internal departments (sales, inside sales, warehouse, returns, Services Specialists, Rockwell, etc.)
•Maintains the Master Refill Document spreadsheet.
4.Maintains constant communication with Account Managers, (status of the account, projects, problems) and participates in sales calls.
5.Pursues new business opportunities through sales initiatives within the CAP group and by monitoring items supplied by competitors and determining the ability to convert items to Mc-Mc products. Pursues other business activities such as repair, tools, circuit boards.
6.Frequently lifts, carries or otherwise moves and positions product weighing up to 40 pounds unassisted when stocking, loading or unloading products. Typically bends stoops and/or crouches on a regular basis from various heights to stock or deliver product to a customer.
7.Assists in all other area of CAP operations as needed.
8.Respects various safety standards at all customer facilities
9.Assists in creating, implementing and revising work procedures and instructions.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
1. High school diploma required; Associate's degree preferred or demonstrated progression toward degree completion
2.2+ years of sales experience usually obtained through Mentoring program, Counter Sales or Inside Sales support position with knowledge of Mc-Mc products and warehouse operations.
3.Proven multi-tasking organizational skills.
4.Advanced skills with Microsoft Office products (including Word, Excel and Office) and Trend and Rockwell's SAP and RAAMP software
5.Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
6.Ability to independently obtain objectives and be self-directed.
7.Valid chauffeur's license and driver's license for Region of business operation with a good driving record.
