VP, Sales & Marketing (Sales)
Responsibilities:
Develop growth strategies and plans for the business unit
Develop value propositions that differentiate business unit from competitors
Evaluate customer activity and preferences to properly develop and direct sales efforts
Develop market position by locating, creating, defining, and closing business relationships
Partner with the operations and logistics teams to develop a sales growth strategy
Motivate and provide leadership to the sales team, marketing team and quotations team to grow overall sales volume and ensure quotas are met
Prepare and analyze monthly market sales reports to help project sales and determine future targets
Develop long term sales goals by meeting with leadership to understand the priorities and business strategies
Lead the marketing team to promote, enhance and develop existing and new products
Requirements
Minimum of 12 years of technical sales and/or business development / marketing experience in the utility industry
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field is preferred
Broad knowledge of Utility Structures within the infrastructure / manufacturing industry required
Strong financial acumen; experience modeling forecasts and establishing pricing structures
Proven ability to negotiate and close sales opportunities
Ability to analyze and compare technical data and specifications
Sales management experience; ability to coach and mentor other sales professionals
Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to present to small and large groups with confidence
Good organizational and time management skills
Excellent motivational skills to organize their sales team to success
Ability to maintain current knowledge of market conditions and competition
Knowledge and use of CRM software, such as com is required
Ability to travel up to 30%-50% (domestic US)
