Housekeeping Supervisor (Maintenance)



The Housekeeping Supervisor will oversee and coordinate the daily activities of housekeepers and other staff to ensure the cleanliness of a boarding school and sports training destination located on a 400-acre campus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily cleaning activities of a group of team members across numerous buildings on campus (ex: academic center, dorm rooms, offices, laundry and other public facilities)
  • Prepare daily briefings for team members at the start of their shift for new or ongoing activities and events
  • Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination across campus
  • Conduct inspections of rooms and facilities to ensure standards are properly followed by cleaning teams
  • Delegate tasks to team members and ensure those tasks are understood and accomplished
  • Plan, organize and direct staff day-to-day to ensure the highest degree of guest satisfaction
  • Collaborate with management as needed to organize the supply and inventory control process
  • Identify areas for improvement in current procedures and provide solutions to streamline processes
  • Collaborate with other IMG Academy departments, such as Events and Sports, to ensure adequate coverage and excellent customer service
  • Oversee the payroll review process and adhere to IMGA policies on payroll coding and deadlines
  • Create and maintain weekly schedules based on business need and approved time off schedules
  • Monitor the performance of each team member while providing ongoing coaching and feedback
  • Manage the issuance of equipment, uniforms, and supplies to the team members
  • Complete incident reports as needed for team members and adhere to OSHA standards
  • Ensure that teams members are on site and in uniform throughout each shift to properly cover all assigned areas
  • Other duties as assigned by management

 

Qualifications:

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Demonstrated leadership ability or experience supervising staff
  • Bilingual – Spanish & English
  • 2+ years of experience in the housekeeping industry
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards is a plus
  • Proven excellence in customer service.
  • Strong independent judgment and decision-making skills ability
  • Experience with MS Office and other computer systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Ability to lift, carry, move, push and pull equipment or boxes up to 40lbs
  • Ability to stand and walk for duration of shift
  • Ability to work on various indoor and outdoor surfaces including grass, turf, courts, etc. in all weather
  • Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning and inspection tasks.
  • Must be able to climb stairs on a continuous basis.
  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
  • Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
  • Must be able to operate office equipment such as computers
  • Ability to work days, nights, weekends and holidays as needed
