Maintenance Clerk (Finance)



Job Description:

This position is to maintain the spare part inventory and materials for the facility so that the material Is available and ready to use when needed.

The Maintenance Clerk will be responsible for:

  • Inventory management of the maintenance crib/parts tower/maintenance storage building/oil room
  • Security of the inventory
  • Reorder/replenish stock items
  • SAP Entries, Cycle Counts, and other transactions
  • Receiving parts and stocking of parts into the maintenance crib/storage building/parts tower/oil room
  • Management of storage of specialized tools housed in the crib
  • Parts kitting for work orders
  • Physically receiving new inventory deliveries, then entering them into the SAP system, and communicating to site buyer

Context and Scope

The maintenance clerk will utilize SAP to conduct prescribed intervals inventory counts to ensure accuracy of the stock levels and report these out to the Reliability Managers and S&F co-pilot. The maintenance clerk will also provide parts usage information as it relates to the maintenance budget. The maintenance clerk will also utilize the SAP to retrieve and check out parts to associates as they request parts using a WO from the SAP system. The SAP system will also be utilized to receive, label and stock parts in the crib, parts tower and storage shed. The maintenance clerk will interact with Planner/Schedulers, system techs and reliability manager to help develop work order kits and PMs. The receiving duties of this position will be physically receiving the materials, then entering them into the SAP stockroom system, and communicating to site buyer.

Education & Professional Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Microsoft Excel, work, and PowerPoint
  • Forklift operation
  • Exceptional math skills
  • Computer literate with ability to enter, record, maintain and retrieve Information In a computer-based data collection system.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds

Knowledge / Experience

  • 2+ years in a high-speed food-manufacturing/automated environment
  • SAP experience a plus In Storeroom management
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Food Manufacturing experience and knowledge of food safety.
  • Stockroom experience a plus.
