Military and Defense Transparencies Segment Manager (Finance)
PPG has an exciting opportunity available for a Military and Defense Transparencies Segment Manager . As a Military and Defense Transparencies Segment Manager, you will provide strategic direction, aerospace market knowledge, and product expertise to the Global Military and Defense Transparencies Segment and Aerospace ASC network teams to support Aerospace sales and profit and growth objectives. Key Responsibilities:
Manage/develop current customer accounts with ASC sales representatives, customer relationships, accounts receivable and expenses to support profitable sales growth.
Maintain forward visibility into customer needs and direction.
Provide internal program direction and coordination, as needed, with Customer Service, Engineering and Operations
Have an in-depth understanding of US Government acquisition regulations
Lead and maintain compliance to US Export regulations and processes
Support the Platform in strategic planning and marketing activities.
Develop market forecasts, competitor assessments, budgets and business plans including contributing to the BSR process, market action plan and long-range plan.
Track competitive trends and market pricing trends.
Support Program Administrator and Data Analyst
Identify and pursue prospective global military and defense sales opportunities.
Develop specification/qualification opportunities for PPG military and defense segment though NPI and Compass
Make and support customer presentations, write proposals, submit bids, initiate contract negotiations.
Support the Platform Manager in the coordination of global sales force activities
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, science or related discipline and at least 5 years of industry experience.
Broad product, service, customer, and industry knowledge; specific knowledge of, and credibility with, military and defense OEM's and U.S. and Foreign government procurement activities.
Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all customer levels.
Lead interactions with Engineering and Operations.
Possess the knowledge, theory, and hands-on experience to drive growth.
Have a passion for pioneering new markets and a proven record of successfully positioning PPG within the aerospace market.
Skilled in complex business case development.
Outstanding data analysis and communication skills in writing, face-to-face, and telephone.
Proven record of CRM utilization and leverage.
Have strong entrepreneurial, collaborative, analytical, and strategic skills.
May require 20% travel (including international travel).
U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
Requires a DoD Security clearance, current or willingness to obtain credentials.
