You will work as a valued member of the Process Engineering Team to improve upon existing and new metal processing equipment and optimize current processes.

Here's What You'll Get To Do

  • Assists in commissioning new equipment, as well as upgrades/retrofits to existing equipment.
  • Builds controls panels, junction boxes, and control stations as needed for in house projects per engineering schematics.
  • Configures panels, field control devices, and sensors per engineering specifications.
  • Plans and executes field install per engineering schematics and direction of the following: Conduit Paths/ Panel Entry, Device Mounting (Sensors, transmitters, solenoids, actuators, etc.), and Wire/Cable Terminations.
  • Compiles list and purchases necessary supplementary hardware related to the above items needed to execute the project. (Wire, conduit, conduit fittings, brackets, etc.).
  • Redlines drawings during installation to ensure proper and correct document updates.
  • Resolves punch list items post project completion that are relevant to this role.
  • Perform work to a high standard per National Electrical Code, OBE: Safety and Quality requirements.
  • Provide support on a limited basis to the process maintenance team as needed.

Here's What We're Looking For

  • 5+ Years in a role performing duties in one or more of the following areas, Industrial electrical maintenance, Manufacturing equipment commissioning, Manufacturing equipment upgrades and systems integration, and Working for an OEM of Manufacturing Equipment and directly involved in the manufacture of the equipment.
  • Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of typical industrial control system components (Discrete and analog sensors, solenoids, relays, contactors, drives, power supplies, safety devices, PLC's, I/O, HMI's, etc.)
  • Ability to read, interpret, and utilize electrical schematics.
  • Experience with continuous improvement and strategy deployment.
  • Basic understanding of industrial process networking/ethernet hardware.
  • Experience with Rockwell Automation control hardware (Control Logix/CompactLogix, PowerFlex, Kinetix, Stratix, etc.)
  • Familiar with National Electrical Code and it's real-world application.
  • Self-Motivated, able to work with minimal supervision. which includes ability to stay calm and think logically in stressful situations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to operate within a team environment.
  • Proficient with Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with EMaint maintenance software.
  • Experience with Rockwell Automation software Software:RSLogix / Studio 5000 and Factorytalk ME.
  • Experience working with robotics, automatic guided vehicles, cell warehouses, and other advanced automation systems.
  • Certifications/Degree in Industrial, Electrical, and/or technical engineering.

 

Physical Requirements

  • Lift, push, pull and move up to 50lbs individually.
  • Stand and walk for entire shift on concrete, up to 8 hours.
  • Work in temperatures consistent with same outdoor climate conditions of the region (Heat, humidity, etc.).
  • Proper wear of all required Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Twist, bend, stoop and kneel.
  • Grasp, squeeze, hold/handle thin to thick metal, small & large items.
  • Good hand dexterity and hand/eye coordination.
  • Requires reaching, handling, and grasping while turning of upper body while moving and lifting.
  • Visual acuity to inspect product for various quality flaws and to ensure equipment is in safe working condition.
