Market Research Analyst Sr. (Biotech)



Position Description:

Ent is looking for a strategic market research practitioner who is passionate about using research and data to derive consumer and results-focused insights and storytelling to serve as our Senior Market Research Analyst (Analyst). The ideal candidate is an insightful builder, ready to take on the creation of a dedicated research practice for Colorado's largest credit union.  The right individual possesses superior analytical skills that enable data-driven decision making and inform strategies for growth in support of our rapid expansion across the state of Colorado.

The Senior Market Research Analyst will lead market research activities that help Ent better understand target consumer audiences and existing members, the region we serve, and the competition, all with the goal to enable superior member experiences and market differentiation. This person will design, execute and analyze primary quantitative and qualitative research studies, gather market and competitive intelligence, and deliver strategic analysis of collected data. The Analyst will provide consumer and member insights and recommendations for improving member experiences, marketing campaign outreach and product/service development – providing data to inform business decisions. . This individual will also deliver strategic analysis geared towards trend-sensing and understanding drivers of consumer behavior.

The Analyst is a practitioner who deeply understands research methodologies and is an expert in analytics and data science. This individual has experience translating data into impactful insights and linking it to business results. The Analyst: has a proven track record in analyzing consumer behaviors using advanced analytics, and possesses strong writing and presentation skills. Key success factors in this role are the ability to marshal data, analysis, and ideas efficiently into compelling results that help business partners answer critical questions.

The individual will advocate for appropriate research methodologies, data analysis, and factoring methods to analyze raw data and reports sourced from various sources, as well as creating deeper insights from third-party market and business reports and datasets. They will work cross functionally to ensure we are capturing and surfacing the best insights from data and information to make optimal business decisions.

The analyst will collaborate with the marketing department to drive a cultural change towards a data driven orientation.  Finally, the analyst will execute against a strategic roadmap for Ent and coordinate with various key stakeholders.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Scope, design, manage, analyze, and communicate findings of research studies including primary and secondary, custom, and syndicated qualitative and quantitative work in response to defined business issues and needs across corporate and functions. This includes survey design and discussion guide development, analysis of large amounts of data to create compelling stories and actionable insights and leading the implementation of new research methodologies alongside existing methodologies.
  • Establish and manage comprehensive Voice of Consumer/Member (VOC) program, including sourcing triggers, audiences, and refining questions. Work with product owners to ensure that feedback is acted upon promptly. Integrate VOC technology into core member systems.
  • Manage relationship with third party research vendors.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to devise data driven research that generates actionable insights to optimize strategic improvements.
  • Partner with CX lead to develop insights program into online behavior and feedback loop.

Minimum Formal Education Required for this Position:

Knowledge consistent with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Statistics, Economics, Math or similar field of study.

Each year of relevant work experience may be exchanged for a year in a relevant degree program or vice versa.  For example, a requirement of “Knowledge Consistent with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and 2+ years' of accounting experience” could be substituted for a High School Diploma and 6 years of relevant accounting work experience or a Master's Degree in Accounting and 0 years of work experience.  

Minimum work experience:

5+ years' work experience in consumer insights, market research or related analytical field

3+ years' experience delivering actionable data insights and partnering with stakeholders about research insights

Technical or specialized knowledge/skills:

  • Experience with quantitative and qualitative research methods.
  • Experience with quantitative tools (designing, writing, and analyzing) – e.g. Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, etc.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills – specifically with market research focus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate insights and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of statistical analytical approaches and identifying appropriate research methodology.
  • Knowledge of survey programming, study fielding, data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Assist with the development of recommendations, tactics, and future testing based on analyses.
  • Proficient with cleaning data and running analysis – SPSS, SAS, R.
  • Experience writing queries for SQL.
  • Extensive experience with VOC tools like Qualtrics, Medallia, InMoment or similar leading providers.
  • Develop compelling PowerPoint presentations to communicate key findings and recommendation.
  • Experience with business intelligence tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, Alteryx, etc.
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of products (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint/Access).

Environmental, physical and psychological requirements:

Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time in a climate controlled environment. Must be able to use fingers, hands, wrists for repetitive tasks such as typing, using a mouse, handling paper, currency, or coin, and operating a telephone.   Demands for visual and auditory acuity are typical of an office environment.  Must be able to interact via email, telephone, or in person with diplomacy, tact, and courtesy with all members under varying circumstances.  Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.

Salary range for this position: $80,475.20 - $105,622.40 (This position is eligible for an annual corporate bonus based upon performance)
