Principal Electrical Engineer (Engineering)
GTI Energy, the nation's leading research, development, deployment, and training organization serving energy markets, has an opportunity for a Principal Engineer - Electrical in our Energy Delivery research group. The qualified candidate will perform research and development activities in collaboration with other engineers and scientists, focused on applying engineering practices to the development and deployment of electronic technology.
The position will be based in the Des Plaines, Illinois area, but the candidate must also be able to work remotely to meet all federal, state, local, and company COVID guidelines. While local candidates are preferred, GTI provides relocation assistance for the right candidate.
This position is within a group of engineers and scientists that bring technology solutions to gas and energy utility companies. The candidate must be able to apply technical theory and engineering to the design, development, and deployment of electronic technologies. The candidate must be able to work within the structure of an overall project team while being able to work independently and set direction for project teams.
