Summer Soccer Instructor (Finance)

JOB SUMMARY: The summer soccer instructor designs and implements summer camps and private lessons for elementary age students following OES standards and methods for instruction. The instructor promotes and models curiosity and the exploration of ideas and concepts while fostering an appreciation for lifelong learning. In addition to the qualifications detailed below, the successful summer camp instructor possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to support the OES mission and identity. The summer soccer instructor will abide by and promote all COVID-19 health and safety practices required by the state and Oregon Episcopal School.
This is an hourly, seasonal position that comes with paid sick leave. Summer training will begin the week of June 23. Soccer Camp runs July 12-16, from 9 a.m. - 1p.m. for kindergarten through 2nd grade. Additional time for private lesson instruction schedule will be determined by the instructor.

COVID-19 SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Follow and promote all practices in the Health and Safety Practice document.
Attend and complete all extended trainings that support health and safety practices for the Summer Programs.
Follow all state COVID-19 regulations and safety models.
Complete daily COVID-19 health screening, must be completed each morning prior to arriving on campus.
Required to receive the first and second dose of COVID-19 vaccine prior to start date of camp (July 12)-Contact hiring supervisor with any questions.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Develop and implement challenging and creative lessons with developmentally appropriate practices.
Collaborate with extension director to design cohesive programming within the summer framework.
Develop a safe, nurturing, and exciting learning environment.
Promote the responsible, safe, and healthy use of equipment, materials, and environment.
Provide individualized instruction in order to educate the whole child.
Develop a familiarity with a framework for understanding students' individual strengths, affinities, and challenges.
Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents in a spirit of openness and cooperation.
Assist students with goal setting and overcoming obstacles in their practice.
Demonstrate kindness, enthusiasm, and a passion for teaching.
Perform other duties as assigned.
