OSP Permitting Specialist (Finance)
In addition, this role is responsible to support business improvement by meeting personal and departmental goals and objectives timely and effectively.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following; other duties may be assigned:
Must follow and meet Performance Expectations for this role
Supports and implements new and existing policies and procedures
Identify and communicate issues and assist with resolutions
Follows best-practice project planning and status reporting standards per established processes
Minimize errors and inefficiencies
Prepare project and program statistics and reports
Review and resolution of correspondence and sensitive documents
Manage communications plans including email, newsletters, and presentations
Manage task lists and action plans including following up with key stakeholders and project participants
Work with state, county and local jurisdictional agencies and governmental authorities to obtain Utility ROW permit approvals.
Maintain as needed relationships with municipalities and manage all aspects of complying with conditions of approvals from municipalities for the installation, operation and maintenance of the wireless facilities and the necessary modifications to those facilities.
Serve as subject matter expert on matters related to local municipal codes and to effectively communicate status relative to questions on the required components for successful filings.
Coordinate with project managers, site acquisition specialists to ensure sites meet expected requirements.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, 3GIS and SharePoint
Strong organizational and time management skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
Must be resourceful, flexible and maintain the ability to react and respond quickly with a focus on accuracy and details.
Displays initiative and strong sense of personal motivation as well as responsibility.
Knowledge of the principles, methods, processes, and applicable regulations.
Knowledge of working with government agencies, jurisdictions, and right of ways
Experience with permit applications/documents.
Ability to read site plans and A&E drawings.
Knowledge of relevant technology and equipment.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence; ability to write simple correspondence; ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and clients.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
