Operations Specialist (Biotech)



The Operations Specialist assists the corporate store operations team in managing operations for all American Freight locations. Primary functions of this role include helping to create store procedures, compiling field and corporate management-level reporting, assisting with analysis and management of key operational metrics, and providing direct support to stores and field leadership to resolve business issues. The role will primarily be based out of our corporate office but will occasionally visit stores in the local market to help create and implement operational procedures. The role will be focused both on standard pre & post-sale processes in-store, as well as national and local delivery operations. This position requires a task driven individual with strong organization and communication skills. The ideal candidate will be proficient in all Microsoft Office applications and capable of compiling basic reporting and developing procedural documents and store & corporate-level presentations. Prior experience in retail is preferred, either in a store or support role.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:        

  • Provide operational support to stores and field leaders
  • Respond to requests for assistance via phone, email, and help ticket
  • Provide support to Franchisees and the stores they operate
  • Collaborate with field and support center partners to resolve business problems
  • Creating and editing procedural documents to provide efficient methods of completing store tasks to achieve desired business outcomes
  • Visit stores occasionally to observe procedures and make recommendations to improve productivity
  • Provide support to the management of National and Local Delivery operations
  • Assist corporate and field organizations in managing Delivery Driver Compliance
  • Compile basic field and corporate management reporting using data from MicroStrategy
  • Conduct analysis and reporting on store operational areas, including physical inventory management, purchase order receiving, sales order fulfillment, delivery driver compliance, final mile delivery & installation performance
  • Assist in researching customer transactions in American Freight's point-of-sale system
  • Assist in building field and corporate presentations for store operations initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned
