Fort Collins Assistant Store Manager (Finance)

Responsible for assisting the General Manager in managing the day-to-day operations of the store by:
Opening and closing the store
Delegating responsibilities and designing work schedules
Monitoring retail operating costs and store budgets
Overseeing store inventory and supplies
Maintaining store appearance, brand standards and visual merchandising
Ensuring loss prevention policies are followed
Providing effective leadership and direction to all employees
Being proficient in all areas of the store including but not limited to front of house, sales floor and back of house to assist when necessary
Responsible for assisting the General Manager in training and development of the team by:
Ensuring company policies are followed and the team remains up to date with new company procedures, sales incentives and product information
Identifying hiring needs and assist in onboarding new employees
Providing ongoing training and development of Shift Leads
Monitoring training and development of new employees
Evaluating employee performance, providing feedback and coaching
Performance managing employee behavioral issues and providing corrective action as needed
Responsible for taking ownership of overall store performance by:
Ensuring a consistent standard of excellent customer service
Monitoring store sales progress, store reviews and individual performance
Dedicated time on the sales floor to observe and coach the team on maximizing sales
Motivating employees and ensuring a focus on the Company's mission and vision
Responding to customers' needs in a timely fashion and resolve customer complaints to their overall satisfaction
Effectively leading the store when the General Manager is not present
Partnering with relevant departments as needed
Systems:
Accountable for accurately utilizing and training on all store systems and technology; POS, inventory management systems, METRC and online training systems.
Accountable for cash intake including but not limited to creating and intaking change orders, counting out registers, completing daily deposits and recording accurate sales numbers in POS
Accountable for utilizing Company SOP's and distributing SOP's to the team
Responsible for utilizing Company tools, Intranet and Learn Brands for ongoing product training and company news and updates.
Responsible for utilizing HR platforms to input store schedules, manage employee time cards and submit HR forms accurately
Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure compliance with all local, state and federal regulations
Responsible for maintaining compliance and reporting, and ensures communication and resolution in a timely manner.
Assist in correcting any known inventory issues to ensure compliance.
Other Duties:
Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
BA/BS degree preferred or an additional 2 years of related experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
Work Experience:
A minimum of 1-year experience in a management role within a retail or customer service environment. Must also have a minimum 2 years' retail sales experience working in a fast-paced retail store environment.
Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse team of managers and sales associates, vendors, and community members.
Success building and maintaining strong professional relationships.
Bilingual in English/Spanish desired.
Regular and on-time attendance is required.
Starting Salary is $44,000/ Yr.
Required Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:
MED Badge-Must be able to secure appropriate work credentials from the Colorado Department of Revenue, MED
Working Conditions:
Able to use a computer for extended periods of time.
Able to move about a typical office, manufacturing, warehouse, or retail environment.
Able to perform general office managerial and administrative activities.
Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally.
Hours may exceed 40 hours per week.
Flexibility to support other retail locations within 25 mile radius.
