Director of Quality & Education Job Description - KinderCare Learning Companies

As the Director of Education and Quality, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of educational excellence and program quality within our early childhood education school. This leadership position involves supervising the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of educational programs, as well as monitoring and enhancing overall quality standards to create a positive learning environment for young children!

When you join our team as a Director of Quality & Education you will:

  • Lead and develop a team of passionate educators to ensure alignment with KinderCare Education's world-class curriculum and high-quality teaching practices
  • Provide hands-on instructional coaching and support for classroom teams, elevating lesson planning, classroom environments, and child engagement
  • Cultivate a culture of continuous learning, growth, and excellence through training, observations, and regular feedback cycles
  • Partner with the Executive Director and center leadership team to deliver a best-in-class early education experience
  • Support classroom coverage and daily operations as needed in a large, fast-paced environment
  • Maintain strong relationships with families, supporting open communication and shared developmental goals
  • Leverage classroom data and assessment tools to inform instruction and ensure quality outcomes for all children
  • Ensure compliance with all licensing, accreditation, and safety standards across the center
  • Stay current on early childhood education research and best practices to help your team thrive

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (preferred)
  • At least one year of early childhood leadership or coaching experience
  • Strong knowledge of child development, curriculum planning, and classroom quality standards
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • A commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and creating joyful, respectful classrooms
  • Customer service mindset and the ability to support both staff and families with care and professionalism
  • Ability to multi-task and manage a fast-paced environment with 400+ enrolled children
  • Must meet state-specific guidelines for the role
  • Must be physically able to use a computer with basic proficiency, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors. Must be able to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English
  • This role requires open availability to meet the dynamic needs of the center, including mornings, afternoons, and occasional evenings as needed. Flexibility is essential to support leadership coverage, staff supervision, and operational demands.

Range of pay $56,250.00 - $102,250.00 Salary
In the state of Minnesota, we currently provide an additional $3.00 per hour premium on all classroom hours worked in addition to the range of pay listed. This premium is funded through the Minnesota Great Start Grant Compensation Support Program.
