Supply Chain Intern (Finance)

Your Role:

As a Buyer/Planner Intern at Metrix, you will play a crucial role in supporting our procurement and planning teams. You will be responsible for the following tasks:
First Article:
  • Coordinate the preparation and submission of First Article inspections and reports.
  • Ensure that all First Article requirements are met and documented accurately.
  • Communicate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve any issues related to First Articles.
Kanban:
  • Review Kanban re-order points and ensure timely replenishment of materials.
  • Audit kanban inventory management and production processes.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and logistics teams to optimize Kanban workflows.
Open Order Report and Following Up on Purchase Orders:
  • Generate and review open order reports to track the status of purchase orders.
  • Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any discrepancies.
Excess Suntron Inventory:
  • Audit excess inventory from Suntron.
  • Develop strategies to reduce excess inventory and improve inventory turnover.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to identify opportunities for inventory optimization.
C4C:
  • Pulling prints for project coordination to assist in RFQ (request for quote).
  • Generate reports and analyze data to support procurement decision-making.
Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with procurement software.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
