The Payroll Implementation Manager will manage the Payroll Implementation Team who provides support, production, and back of the house functions for current and future clients, as well as the Operations team and other internal BerganKDV contacts. The Payroll Implementation Manager will work with the team directly and with clients for escalated issues or high priority clients.
Ensure a positive client experience for clients interacting with the Payroll Implementation team.
Identify and develop process improvement ideas and solutions based on observations and analysis of team metrics, and feedback from clients and team members.
Resolves escalated client issues in a prompt, professional manner, including documentation and thorough follow-up.
Respond to and resolve employee relation issues expressed by team members.
Participate in interviewing, selection, onboarding, and training of new team members.
Help create and maintain a high-quality work environment so team members are motivated to perform at their highest level.
Facilitate communication with clients and staff on operational and industry announcements.
Help to establish quality and efficiency standards, which include measurements that are reviewed on a quarterly basis.
Evaluate team and individual performance on a consistent basis using department metrics and provide timely, candid, and constructive feedback.
Participate in writing and administering annual performance reviews.
Ensure the team has appropriate training and resources to perform their duties, and to assist individual self-development by identifying training opportunities.
Facilitate the creation and maintenance of documentation to support operational changes.
Work along-side Payroll Operations Manager to establish best practices to help ensure successful handoff of completed projects.
Participates in the development of long- and short-term strategies to ensure efficient and effective delivery of optimal service to the client base
Build Fiscal year Budgets and accountable in ensuring goals at met.
Manage new and current vendor relationships, while developing and/or enhancing service offerings
Other duties as assigned or needed
5+ years experience in successfully managing internal and external client relationships
5+ years payroll and/or human resources experience
Excellent coaching mentoring and motivating skills
Highly organized; driven to improve processes and efficiencies
Detail oriented; achieves results
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong inter-personal skills: comfortable working as part of the team with all levels of authority with the ability to respect and appreciate different personality styles, thinking, backgrounds, and cultures
Strong supervisory skills; comfortable leading a team and interacting with all levels of authority
Demonstrated ability to work quickly and efficiently under deadline and budget pressure
Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple and sometimes competing priorities
Knowledge of K-Pay/UKG Workforce Ready preferred
Collaborative work style.
Ability to effectively plan and lead the correct processes to reach conclusions/consensus in an accounting and payroll environment for both outsources services and client.
Ability to select and use appropriate tools for the job and perform technical research as required to supplement and support BerganKDV methodologies in delivering solutions to clients.
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio) to accomplish daily business activities and facilitate communications.
