Job Summary
The Senior Manager of Technology & Development (SMTD) is a strategic role within the HORNE REDi Healthcare Analytics Division. This working manager sets the technology direction of HORNE's REDi division. The SMTD holds overall responsibility for envisioning, communicating, and implementing the technology strategy that creates business value for the division and our clients.
The SMTD works closely with the Senior Manager of Healthcare Analytics and the Manager of Analytic Engineering & Growth to understand new technologies and how they support innovative solutions to meet client needs. The SMTD is responsible for working with client technical leads to understand and assess their current systems and propose solutions that will meet their strategic and tactical objectives. The SMTD also advises on the development of the technical curriculum for the education and training of our clients on these technologies.
The SMTD manages the development and data engineering resources within the division to create toolsets and applications to support the REDi analytics teams. This includes managing day-to-day development work as well as defining standards and best practices for development and architecture. Additionally, the SMTD is key advisor in helping our clients define the necessary policies and procedures to maintain regulatory compliance and data governance within their analytic solutions.
The SMTD role is a strategic position on a cross functional leadership team. The desired individual has experience as a technical leader working across multiple functional areas in healthcare, government, and the private sector. The SMTD will spend most of their time building out the technical expertise of the division with a small, dedicated portion of time focused on helping with business development and operations. This position requires up to 35% travel.
