Required Qualifications:
• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Louisville, KY or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel in the US.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education
• At least 4 years of Information Technology experience
• At least 4 years of experience in trouble shooting: routing, switching, and wireless
• Basic understanding of the following technologies: IP Protocols (ICMP, UDP, TCP); IP filtering and basic fire wall knowledge (Palo alto is preferable); Routing Protocols (BGP, OSPF, Eigrp), Quality of Service; MPLS; Ethernet (STP, RSTP, .1q VLANs)
• Excellent hands-on understanding of routing and switching concepts as well as alternative network devices
• Ensure stable and reliable ISP network services (e.g. access products, service networks, and core network)
• Monitor day-to-day network performance
• Perform Network troubleshooting and fault analysis as well as hardware troubleshooting and repair
• Rapidly respond to client tickets, carrier interface, and escalations
• Perform deployment, maintenance of network monitoring, analysis, and reporting tools
• Apply configuration changes via change control systems and processes
• Install network hardware and software
• Implement operational automation using scripts.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for systems support outside of normal business hours
• Must be able to work in 24x7 production support environment

• Excellent Communications and client interaction skills along with exceptional written and verbal skills as well as technical documentation
• Extraordinary Planning, Coordination, and Analytical skills
• Experience in working in Global Delivery Model with onsite/offshore resources
The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
