Security Assistant - Part Time (Administrative)

Looking for a part-time Security Assistant to support the Director of Security in Colorado Springs facilitating the clearance process for the VSS contract. The Security Assistant will be processing individuals for MRPT (Moderate Risk Public Trust) and Secret clearances. The Security Assistant will have direct interaction with those candidates who are being recruited for this contract.
RESPONSIBLITIES:
Contacts contingent hires to glean PII information needed for initiation of clearance process
Provides instruction to complete required paperwork and fingerprinting for candidates
Reviews paperwork for completeness and provides feedback for corrections needed prior to submittal
Utilizes the NP2 Portal, DISS, and Fieldprint systems to process clearances
Updates daily, shared tracking system for project to ensure that accurate information is being reported to our customer
Assists in the preparation of Visit Request documentation for this project
Utilizes Microsoft Office products including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and TEAMS.
Adheres to deadlines, goals and metrics provided by the company
Possible travel to site locations – New Hampshire and Kentucky – to provide in-person assistance processing candidates
Other duties may be assigned to incorporate changing needs
Minimum Qualifications:
High School or GED required with at least (2) years of work experience in an office setting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, and Excel
Excellent written and oral communication skills needed to work candidates
Attention to detail and ability to learn processes quickly
Strong organizational and time management skills
Must understand and comply with confidentiality expectations of PII information
Demonstrate the ability to work independently and as a member of the team to effectively interact with personnel at all levels
Must have a Secret clearance of the ability to obtain/maintain one (preference given to someone who already holds a clearance)
You must be able to meet all health requirements, including but not limited to, current and future vaccination requirements for infectious diseases such as COVID-19.
Salary Range: $20.00-25.00 per hour – The salary offered to the successful candidate will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, work experience, and their ability to meet the known requirements of the position as determined at the time of hire. Job location will also be a factor in determining the salary offered.
