Security and Transportation Associate (Security)

Position Summary
The Security & Transportation Associate is responsible for the safe and secure operation of Company facilities and delivery of inventory to dispensaries across the state in compliance with state regulations.
Responsibilities & Duties

Authorizes and monitors door access for visitors and the general public; authorizes, updates, and revokes staff access upon hire, for transfer, and upon termination of employment
Monitors facility cameras, alarm system, and daily operations to protect against internal and external threats to the Company, including theft and violence
Escorts vendors and visitors to the facility
Responsible for conducting inspections of the property and premises on a regular basis
Loads delivery van and performs compliant transportation of product to vendors daily
Performs shipping and receiving, including unpacking and distributing shipments to appropriate recipients and maintaining records of incoming shipments
Ensures all documentation of delivery manifests and incident reports is completed in a clear, accurate, and compliant manner, using standard forms
Responding to incidents, whether emergency or other, to maintain safety and security, and escalates to law enforcement as appropriate
Initiates notification of incidents to appropriate management and initiates external responses when necessary (e.g. police and emergency response)
Documents incidents using standard incident report forms
Performs transportation of product as needed

Qualifications & Skills

Must be least 21 years of age
High school diploma or GED required
Previous work experience in law enforcement, corrections, or security preferred
Must have a strong work ethic and ability to work well on a team
Must be detail oriented, self-motivated and honest
Must possess excellent communication skills. Must be able to clearly and articulately explain tasks, delegate responsibility (if necessary), and provide progress reports to managers in a timely and proactive manner
Must have a reliable form of transportation
Open availability for work various work schedules
Must be able to pass a background check as required by state regulations

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit, stand, and walk for at least 8 hours
Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
Visual acuity needed for viewing screens and fine print
Manual dexterity needed for data entry

Workplace Environment

Warehouse and office environment with fluorescent lighting, no windows
Moderate background noise level due to HVAC and machinery
Frequent exposure to external weather conditions including sun, heat, cold, wind, rain, and snow
Frequent exposure to cannabis odor; occasional exposure to product dust
