Scripps Networks is currently hiring a Commercial Clearance Specialist who will be responsible for the accuracy, quality, and timely processing of all commercial advertising media for Scripps Networks; Bounce, Court TV, Court TV Mystery, Grit, Laff and Newsy.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Reviews all Direct Response and General Market media creative in form of scripts, paid programming infomercials, storyboards, rough cuts, final copy submitted by agency, ad sales and traffic
Make decisions with objective, non-biased view supporting interests and brand of networks, its targeted viewers and Sales
Monitor and manage email inboxes correspondence, Sales' daily dublist, Paid Programming scheduling, pre-approval requests and files for each network
Monitor and manage Extreme Reach, Comcast, Yangaroo, Javelin, On the Spot, Media Qurator and Media Vu delivery sites for essential, incoming media
Establish and maintain good relationships with internal and external Sales, agencies, Traffic, Network and dub houses clients
Update our internal commercial clearance guidelines and policies and procedures as needed
Update and register problematic, time restricted, rejected spots in our internal Gray List database
Collaborate, inform and communicate with team members with new topics and products needing additional insight and review
Log totals of daily viewed pieces of media to Xcel sheet for monthly workload data
Be cognizant of current events and trends in the news when reviewing and accessing creative content that may not be in the best interest of our brands/ viewership at any given time
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree or related work experience
2+ years' experience in a major TV or cable market preferred
