Summary/Objective Directs internal operations to facilitate the growth and overall success of Slocum Orthopedics. This position has executive level responsibility for all clinical, health information, and IT functions. Continually assesses organizational and clinical operations, seeking opportunities to improve efficiency and service delivery. Identifies organizational and ancillary growth opportunities and priorities, including investigations, evaluations, and negotiations in accordance with overall objectives and plans. Promotes a team approach to delivering high quality, cost-efficient care where patient experience and improved health outcomes are the primary goals. Provides for staff a strong day-to-day leadership presence and support, both in a direct supervisory role as well as through subordinate Directors, Supervisors, and Leads. Builds strong positive communication with physicians and works as a team to enhance the success of the practice. Develops a strong inter-department teamwork to meet the needs of the patients and physicians and drive organizational decision making. Serves as a member of the organizational management team, including regular attendance and presentations at management team meetings, Executive Committee meetings, and Breakfast of Champions physician meetings. In conjunction with the Chief Medical Officer and CEO, works to enhance provider efficiency and, when necessary, assists in resolving clinic-related issues. Motivates and leads high performance operations teams; coaches and develops staff to enhance performance and build a positive, team-based culture. Responsible for ensuring patient service needs are met. Monitors patient service feedback and contributes to the process of resolving complaints and service issues. Plans and initiates process improvement and cost reduction opportunities. Develops and establishes operating policies consistent with the CEOs overall policies and objectives and ensures their adequate execution. Appraises and evaluates the results of overall operations regularly and systematically, and reports these results to the CEO. Analyzes the current information technology infrastructure and scopes out the next level of information technology and financial systems that support the growth of specific programs and the organization overall. Oversees internal workflows and organizational development; ensures communication and information flow throughout the organization is efficiently managed to provide all employees and managers with current, pertinent, job-related information. Assists with the companys financial planning and controls; determines profit performance goals and ensures they are achieved. Selects and hires employees according to established guidelines. Monitors, coaches, develops and evaluates performance of staff on an ongoing basis in accordance with applicable performance standards. Ensures that all activities and operations are performed in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and laws governing business operations.
