Mechanical Design Engineer II (Finance)

An excellent career opportunity is currently available for a Static Equipment Engineer within the Skills Center of Excellence within the UPT Engineering group located in Rosemont, IL. The static equipment engineer will function as a key technical resource supporting the delivery of basic Schedule A and Equipment designs and supporting the advancement of UOP process technologies in the refining, petrochemical, and gas processing areas. They will apply their skills in mechanical design, specification, and analysis of reactors and other pressure vessels, vessel internals, piping systems, and other specialty static equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare mechanical design packages (layout, analysis, specifications, requisitions, etc.) for customer projects.
  • Review critical vendor documentation for compliance with project requirements.
  • Support field/shop inspections, troubleshooting, and site installation
  • Continuous improvement of UOP technologies and work processes
  • Coaching of junior engineers
