The Opportunity
  • Assist Patient Services Supervisor/Manager in providing direction and guidance to Patient Services Representatives.
  • Monitor Patient Services calls to ensure call quality consistently achieved.
  • Assist Patient Services Supervisor in assignment delegation to Patient Services Representatives.
  • Assist Patient Services Supervisor to assure compliance with MBSI policies and procedures.
  • Communicates with other departments to resolve issues and provide assistance.
  • Provides feedback to Patient Services Supervisor of performance related issues observed in the team and provides input on performance evaluations of team members.
  • Assist in managing workflow to meet daily, weekly and monthly deadlines, including working with ACTS codes, adjustments and additional tasks as assigned.
  • Assist in completing employee reports related to productivity and call volumes.
  • Assist in conducting regularly scheduled team meetings, communicating team goals and objectives.
  • Fosters and maintains positive work environment including administration of incentive programs.
  • Handles incoming calls as needed to maintain service levels and resolve escalated calls.
  • Travel may be necessary for business purpose, not exceeding 20% of time.

Required Experience and Competencies
  • Two years of related experience and/or training required.
  • Experience in customer service and call center activities required.
  • Fluent in Spanish language, both oral and written, preferred.
  • Experience in a billing and collection production environment preferred.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong interpersonal.
  • Ability to continually motivate employees in a highly productive environment.
  • Computer skills, specifically Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Thorough understanding and application of financial classes.
  • Strong understanding of debits and credits.
  • Highly effective multi-tasking skills are extremely important.
  • Ability to react to change productively.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to correctly add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to work overtime as requested or required.

Hourly rate for this role is $21.00 per hour.
