Audit Director - Federal Accounting (Finance)
Position Responsibilities:
Support the development and implementation of government accounting and auditing policies and procedures.
Operational experience supporting a large financial organization with financial and accounting related tasks, such as analysis and interpretation of accounting and audit policy.
Develop and implement audit strategies, work plans, and risk assessments.
Develop corrective action plans resulting from audit findings and ensure timely implementation.
Experience in implementing a financial and acquisition system.
Compiling, analyzing, and organizing data and documentation to support Government responses to audit inquiries, including summaries of exceptions (SOE) and notices of findings and recommendations (NFR).
Direct and oversee complex financial and performance audits
Develop audit plans, methodologies, and risk assessments.
Review and analyze audit reports, findings, and provide recommendations and/or explanations.
Ensure compliance with Federal financial management requirements.
Interpret and communicate complex federal budgetary and accounting data for senior agency leadership.
Identify systematic risks and recommend corrective actions.
Performs other duties as assigned.
