Under general supervision of the Quality Manager, performs quality control inspections upon receipt of products and during the manufacturing of parts, assemblies, and systems; and provides support to the Quality Assurance Department. Examines and inspects materials, finished parts and products for dimensional and workmanship defects and wear and to ensure conformance with work orders, diagrams, blueprints, and specifications.
How You Will Do It
Coordinates inspections of materials, products, and work in progress for conformance to specifications; conducts final inspections of parts before shipping to ensure they meet applicable specifications or drawings.
Collects samples for testing; witnesses tests; records test results and inspection data; compares test results with specifications to ensure conformance to standards.
Marks items for acceptance or rejection; prepares Discrepant Material Reports (DMR) and Failure Analysis Reports (FAR).
Confers with suppliers, customers and others regarding inspection results; recommends corrective procedures; compiles reports of results, recommendations, and needed repairs.
Maintains Quality records.

High School Diploma (required); Associate's or Bachelor's Degree
Ability to read, understand and interpret prints/drawings and other technical documents that describe the system and processes.
Ability to use most inspection tools, measuring and test equipment.
Ability to read and understand policies, procedures and processes.
Good computer skills to include Microsoft applications.
Ability to partner with colleagues for mutual benefit of the company.
Ability to positively influence others and create a passion for excellence.
Ability to work in a team environment as well as individually
Willingness and ability to work rotating shifts including weekend support as needed.
