Associate Director, Advanced Technologies, Case Insights (Legal)

Job Description:

                                                                                   

The Associate Director of Advanced Technologies, Case Insights oversees all Review Architecture work. This includes investigations where review as part of a litigation for production is imminent, accelerated or requires post-production insights. The AD consults with clients to understand their goals and oversees investigative review where document review is not practical or possible. Using analytics, search terms and advanced workflows, the Associate Director of Advanced Technologies delivers actionable results to clients. They work as part of the Case Insights team and may oversee Analysts and Associate Consultants as needed to load balance and meet deadlines. Depending on project needs, it may be necessary for the AD to work with Client Services to ensure overall project success as well as coordinating/collaborating with internal resources, including Sales, Operations, Managed Review, Advanced Technologies, and Information Technology. The Advanced Technologies AD must be able to deliver on multiple projects concurrently.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Review Architecture offering
  • Consult with clients and understand client objectives
  • Execute complex workflows in various platforms including Relativity, Reveal AI (NexLP), and Brainspace
  • Validate workflows for defensibility
  • Oversee the delivery of results as part of Review Architecture
  • Perform and participate in sales presentations
  • Evangelise subject matter expertise through speaking engagements, participation in panels and white papers
  • Mentor and train Analysts and Associate Consultants
  • Track project wins, successes and goals and report regularly
  • Coordinate with Case Insights and Advanced Technologies to develop best practices and documented processes
  • Independently scope, assign and hand off new matters
  • Demonstrate technical proficiency

Expected Time Commitments:

  • 15% Sales & Marketing

  • 15% Internal & Reporting

  • 70% Consulting

Required and Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (advanced degree, such as JD or MBA, preferred)
  • Minimum 10 years of client services experience in an eDiscovery capacity
  • General experience with document review databases (certification preferred)
  • Familiarity with analytics tools used to reduce data volumes and organize data for review (certification preferred)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Skill for synthesizing complex solutions to simplified explanations
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication
  • Excellent issue spotting and problem-solving
  • Willingness to go above and beyond client expectations
  • Critical thinking skills
