President & Chief Executive Officer
SourceAmerica seeks a dynamic and visionary candidate to serve as its next President and Chief Executive Officer. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the President serves as the chief executive officer for an organization that connects government and corporate customers to a national network of nonprofit agencies (NPAs) that hire a talented segment of the workforce –
people with disabilities.

The Role of President
Reporting to and partnering with the Board of Directors, the President is responsible for leading and providing executive oversight to SourceAmerica's strategic, programmatic, financial, and management operations. The President builds upon the strengths of the past and continues to raise SourceAmerica's profile and reputation as a leader in workforce development for people with disabilities. He or she furthers SourceAmerica's mission and charts the course for a strong and evolving future, while also protecting and respecting the organization's history. This position will be required to travel across the United States for business needs.
The President serves multiple executive functions at SourceAmerica including:
1. Results-driven Leader: Strong executive steeped in performance-based management, who uses metrics to drive the organization forward, hold all stakeholders accountable and deduce trends for future strategic analysis.
2. Principal Spokesperson: The President is the primary brand ambassador and spokesperson for SourceAmerica to stakeholders, including governmental organizations, NPAs and any person or entity that can sustain and grow SourceAmerica's mission.
3. Government Affairs Leader: He or she represents SourceAmerica's interests to its diverse constituencies and enthusiastically embraces a leadership role among governmental leaders and principals. The President regularly works with government leaders at the state and federal levels on solutions impacting the environment for people with disabilities in the workforce.
4. NPA Advocate/Partner: SourceAmerica realizes its mission through a vast national network of nonprofits agencies that facilitate programs that employ people with disabilities, primarily through the AbilityOne Program, one of the largest sources of
employment in the United States for people with disabilities. The President must be a strong advocate for its network partners who serve as the conduit for realizing its broader mission, building trust and alignment with this critical group.
5. Partnership Trailblazer: The President identifies, secures and establishes plans for key partnerships to advance the organization's strategic plan with an eye toward long-term sustainability, mission achievement and vibrancy.
Profile of Ideal Candidate
• Mission Focused. Must possess understanding of disabilities as being part of a civil rights movement and exhibit a passion for advancing the place for people with disabilities in the workforce and the broader society.
• Visionary. Ability to assess challenges of a changing world and highly competitive market and, in partnership with the Board of Directors and staff, develop and implement a vision that will allows SourceAmerica to continue to make an impact for people with disabilities.
• Strategic Orientation. Possesses the strategic acumen and capacity to build a vision for SourceAmerica, as well as the ability to articulate that vision to key stakeholders and lead a team in its implementation with meticulous follow-through.
• Diplomatic Skills. A person who can celebrate SourceAmerica's rich history of accomplishment while harnessing the NPA network and other partners toward a revitalized future.
• Outcomes Driven. Demonstrated success developing a compelling strategy for an organization, building the financial and ideological support for its implementation, and skillfully balancing and aligning the needs of multiple interests. He or she must possess the business acumen, management and leadership skills necessary to lead SourceAmerica strategically into the future and build on its accomplishments to date.
• Exceptional Communicator. Ability to communicate effectively and to build strong relationships that inspire the confidence of a wide variety of individuals, both internal and external to the organization. This includes working closely with the Board to
understand their individual and collective goals as they relate to SourceAmerica. As a steward of the organization's resources, this individual will be both adept at listening, informing, and contributing to a strategic vision, and willing to be accountable for the oversight of implementation.
• Person of Deep Integrity and Respect. Ability to create and foster an atmosphere of commitment, teamwork, and mutual respect among staff. The President will demonstrate the highest degree of personal responsibility, accountability, and honesty.
Additionally, he or she will have a vigorous work ethic and an entrepreneurial spirit driven by a vision to build upon the reputation and legacy of SourceAmerica and forge a path toward a successful and sustainable future.

The President sets priorities and leads the organization to success. He or she is a strategic thinker who will work with the Board of Directors, NPAs and executive leadership team to establish and pursue goals in support of SourceAmerica's mission.
• Executive Leadership of Teams and Resources: The President must possess the ability to develop and lead teams, engage them in SourceAmerica's vision for the future, and motivate and manage them toward the effective implementation of those goals. The President demonstrates substantive experience managing people and resources in complex and multifaceted institutions. He or she sets priorities decisively, builds consensus, delegates responsibilities, assures accountability, and allocates resources to ensure results.
• Communication and Relationship Building: The President must be an articulate, dynamic, and effective communicator who can persuasively convey SourceAmerica's direction and strategy, both internally and externally, and inspire the organization's constituents toward a shared vision for the future. He or she must be as effective engaging wide audiences as communicating one-on-one. The President uses his or her professional network to substantively further the mission of SourceAmerica.
• Resource Development: The President must possess the ability to work with SourceAmerica's team and its Board in growing the organization's funding base and diversifying its financial support. He or she must be adept in cultivating relationships and able to inspire loyalty to and support of SourceAmerica as well as elevate the reputation within key markets and stakeholder groups.
• Government Affairs/Policy/Advocacy: The President participates actively in local, state and federal government relations work on behalf of the organization. He/she should bring a strong background with relevant government agencies and funders and/or an ability to harness the talents of others to advance SourceAmerica's agenda. Emphasis in disability policy issues strongly preferred.

Required Experience
• Minimum of a bachelor's degree; advance degree preferred
• 20+ years' experience leading a comparable enterprise. Significant experience in government affairs/partnerships, performance management, financial management, community and public relations, and strategic planning.
• Strong track record of partnering with Board of Directors to achieve mission success.
• Track record of organizational transformation highly valued.
• Broad understanding of disabilities space or comparable.
• Experience in distributed networks or coalition building highly valued.
