Overview
The Manager, Digital Asset Management Librarian is responsible for the identification, implementation/set up and configuration of new and existing Digital Asset Management systems and modules, organizing asset catalog structures, creating effective metadata schema and validation, developing and generating naming taxonomies and glossaries, and global asset workflows. This role manages a team responsible for all marketing material distribution systems and channels and the record retention of all marketing material and assets. This team is responsible for ensuring marketing material is available through the required platforms/channels/markets, removing content from the market as requested, and retaining the library of all approved assets of use.
Responsibilities
• Defining the structure of the repository so it supports authoring and content retrieval
• Developing taxonomies and metadata schemas and asset tagging for organizing information resources on the bases of business goals and requirements for global workflows
• Preparing long-term plan for categorizing, indexing, and archiving content
• Design and optimize processes related to marketing asset creation, approval, and distribution
• Training and supporting asset contributors and ensuring contributors/distributors have access to relevant content
• Develop KPIs and reports on asset usage
• Identify, deliver and sustain improvement activity across marketing by employing process improvement methodologies and the application of innovative thinking.
• Work with key business leaders and cross functional stakeholders to build a continual improvement environment to support an ongoing program of transformation
• Lead and facilitate process improvement based workshops to drive ideas and solutions
• Support the delivery of better value and greater efficiency through the identification and elimination of unnecessary complexity within business processes and identification of better ways of working
• Ensure the business impact and project objectives are identified, reported on and managed at all times
• Educate, coach and mentor team members on process improvement methodologies and continual improvement
• Problems faced are difficult to moderately complex, numerous and undefined
• Participate on the global operations leadership team striving to deliver best in class service and continual improvement to the organization
• Must work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others
to achieve company goals

• Creates an environment of learning and development for team members • Leads, directs, and reviews the work of a team consisting of experienced / senior professionals who exercise latitude and independence in their assignments.
Qualifications
Required:
• Typically requires a University Degree in library or computer science, digital arts, or equivalent experience
• 7-10 years relevant experience working in Digital Asset Management with expert level technical knowledge working with Digital Asset Management systems and extensive knowledge of content workflows from intake to localization and best practices to manage and govern large scale Digital Asset Management systems
• Data-driven and passionate about measuring success
Preferred:
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure, content delivery networks, sales enablement, in-depth understanding of user management, roles, and permissions, knowledge of printing, web development, video production, animations, and machine learning and software engineering are all a major plus
• Experience as part of a digital transformation team and researching and evaluating tools and drafting technical requirements
