Scale House Clerk – Deer Valley, AZ (Agriculture)
Arcosa Aggregates is hiring for the position of Scale House Clerk. This position will primarily be located at our Deer Valley facility but can rotate to our Northwest/Peoria sites when needed. The Scale house operator is responsible for helping maintain the day-to-day operations associated with weighing contractor haul trucks. Both positions require a dependable, detail-oriented individual able to maintain a high tempo environment. Good attendance is imperative.
Functions/Duties:
- Provide prompt and courteous service to customers.
- Ensure trucks are properly positioned on scale for accurate weights.
- Operate computer to process proper charges to be assigned for each load of material and generate charge ticket on the printer.
- Accurately perform routine data entry into a computer and make accurate basic mathematical calculations.
- Answer scale house telephone and respond to public's questions.
- Ensure that no truck leave the location over its weight limit.
- General cleanliness of scale house.
- Basic Excel and word concepts are required.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- Typical work schedule consists of daytime hours Monday through Friday, but may be required to work overtime, early morning shift start times and/or weekends.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay organized
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
- Meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
- Previous scale house experience desired.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
- Typical work schedule consists of daytime hours Monday through Friday, but may be required to work overtime, early morning shift start times and/or weekends.
- Must be able to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time and bend and lift up to 40 pounds.
- Must be able to pass employment requirements such as a drug screen and background check.
