Production Scientist - Nucleic Acid Purification (Biotech)
New England Biolabs (NEB) is inviting applicants for the position of Production Scientist I. In close collaboration with the members of the Monarch Group, the individual in this position will be primarily responsible for supporting the manufacturing of both existing and new Monarch products. The successful candidate will thrive in a collaborative team environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare formulations of Monarch products and related reagents.
Perform standard contamination QC protocols and assist in the testing of new QC assays.
Track and maintain stock inventory of standard over the counter (OTC) Monarch products.
Fulfill OEM/Bulk custom orders.
Adhere to protocols and maintain proper documentation.
Assist customers with technical inquiries about Monarch products.
Work in collaboration with Research, Marketing and Applications & Product Development teams to develop new Monarch products for commercialization.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or another scientific field.
The ability to be a team player in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Strong ability to multi-task and perform effectively under pressure.
Excellent organizational and communication skills, including good lab notebook practices.
Proven “good hands” at the bench and an ability to perform careful and consistent experiments.
Relevant industry experience preferred.
