Service Coordinator (Finance)



Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused

Compressor Service Coordinator to support and optimize the daily operations of our field service team. This role is essential for ensuring efficient scheduling, timely service delivery, and seamless communication with both technicians and clients. The ideal candidate brings a solid background in service coordination or dispatch, preferably within industrial equipment or compressed air systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule and dispatch field service technicians for repairs, installations, and preventive maintenance on rotary screw, reciprocating, and oil-free air compressors.
  • Act as the main point of contact for service inquiries, ensuring timely and professional communication with customers.
  • Utilize SAP to manage service orders, track job progress, and ensure proper time logging.
  • Oversee and manage preventive maintenance contracts and scheduling.
  • Ensure technicians are equipped with the required tools, parts, and job-specific instructions.
  • Track job completions, maintain customer records, and ensure accurate and timely documentation.
  • Coordinate with the parts department to order and track service-related components.
  • Assist with quoting and coordination of non-contract service jobs.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, operations, and management to resolve service-related challenges and ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED; associate degree or relevant technical certification is a plus.
  • Minimum 2 years in service coordination, dispatch, or operations support role—preferably in an industrial or mechanical setting.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • Customer-first mindset with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:
  • Experience with rotary screw, reciprocating, and oil-free air compressors, refrigerant and desiccant dryers.
  • Technical knowledge or background in industrial equipment servicing.
  • Previous administrative support experience.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations in industrial environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Relationship-building abilities within cross-functional teams and the broader community.
