Position Summary
Mitutoyo America Corporation, leader in Metrology solutions, is looking for a Calibration Technician that is proficient with the use of optical comparator, surface tester, calibration tester, oscilloscopes, voltage testers, drill press, gage blocks, data entry terminals, and other small maintenance tools and lab equipment. Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment: Calibration Lab and Repair Laboratory, where incumbent is exposed to cleaning chemicals (denatured alcohol). In the Repair Laboratory, this person may come into contact with things that include but are not limited to denatured alcohol and corrosive removal. At times, this person requires the use of personal protective equipment like masks and goggles.
Physical Demands: Must wear Personal Protective Equipment when in lab such as: booties, lab coat, and gloves. Occasionally move inside the offices to access file cabinets, office machinery, drill press, belt sanders, etc.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position.
Monday – Friday 8:30 AM-5:00 PM
Travel: Less than 25% of travel with this position.
Education and Experience: High School Education or equivalent; additional specialized training. 1 to 3 years of experience.
Additional Eligibility Requirements: Use of optical comparator, surface tester, calibration tester, soldering iron, oscilloscopes, voltage testers, drill press, belt sanders, data entry terminals, gage blocks, and other small maintenance items, lab equipment, and reference standards.
