SHIFTS AVILABLE: Typical work week but may vary depending on programing needs and events
PAY RANGE: $16.50-$19.50/hour

POSITION OVERVIEW:
This position provides enrichment support and assistance to the Youth Program Coordinators, Senior Program Director of Out of School Time and the Executive Director of Child Care Services by sharing a thorough knowledge and appropriate skill development strategies for youth, grades K-5. This position will develop and deliver targeted strategies to deliver a quality out of school time experience in Before and After School Programs, Day Camps and Summer Learning Programs. This position will provide quality, hands on inquiry based projects, enrichment and recreational experiences to youth, grades K-5.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provide support to students in Y programs in order to make meaningful differences in the lives of children. Work closely with Youth Development Coordinators to create an engaging environment which fosters a sense of belonging and achievement in youth. Assist and train Youth Development Coordinators and Leaders to help them understand, prepare and deliver a quality out of school time experience for children by creating and selecting instructional materials necessary to supply specialized enrichment activities to support quality enrichment programming. Assist in selecting resources (books, equipment and other instructional materials) to support specialized programming and activities. Assist in scheduling guest speakers, collaborative partners, field trips relevant to the enrichment programs and curriculum. Incorporate Social Emotional Learning, Arts, 21st Century Skills, College and Career Readiness, Family Engagement, Global Learning and Inclusion, Health and Wellness, Academic Enrichment, Leadership Development and Service Learning while planning activities for out of school time. Find and create opportunities for students to expand and build on their interests by preparing students for sharing events and exhibits. Review and access individual students via surveys, observations and assessments. Collect and analyze data collection to make recommendations for grant applications. Ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds from a variety of skill levels. Must be a self-motivated individual with the ability to work efficiently without direct supervision. Coordinate and serve as a support to YMCA front line staff. Serve as a liaison between the YMCA programs, schools, and collaborate partners. Oversee, implement and deliver trainings to YMCA staff and serve as the expert in enrichment activities and curriculum. Manage assigned projects and conduct related tasks as assigned. Manage and develop community partnerships Perform additional duties as required.Demonstrate and support the objectives of the organization as embodied in the mission statement and values.
