GENERAL SUMMARY
Overall support role responsible for assisting in company-wide team efforts related to hotel, attractions, weddings, salons and spas, entertainment, nightlife, food, beverage, gaming, pools. Main responsibilities include pitching local media, monitoring of media coverage, creation of target lists, as well as assistance of specific projects related to consumer-facing messages in the Las Vegas Region for all nine Caesars Entertainment Las Vegas resorts as well as regional properties. Assists with the implementation and development of strategic public relations plans as well as prepares and distributes news releases, listings, fact sheets, scripts, etc. Staffs and attends events related to team projects. Works as part of the hotel, entertainment and dining PR teams with hotel rooms and amenities, attractions (High Roller, Eiffel Tower Experience, etc.), weddings, spas and salons, major headliners (Gwen Stefani, Criss Angel, etc.), production shows, nightlife, celebrity chefs (Giada De Laurentiis, Gordon Ramsay, etc.), restaurants, bars and lounges, gaming and pools.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Support team effort by participating in all citywide aspects of consumer public relations activities which may include events and media escorting outside of the normal business hours.
• Responsible for media monitoring, clipping and creation of coverage reports for all team projects.
• Communicating with local and regional media on a daily basis.
• Compiling, distributing and monitoring all local listings.
• Assist with submitting and organizing hotel, ticket, restaurant and transportation reservation requests.
• Assist with planning and attend all press events.
• Responsible for all team research and tracking of industry trends, editorial calendars related to projects and creation of meeting materials with support from team.
• Writing interesting and effective press releases which generate media coverage.
• Evaluating and preparing material for media kits.
• Miscellaneous administrative duties as requested by supervisor.
Requirements :
• Requires a bachelor's degree in a related area (public relations, journalism, communications, hotel administration/marketing, or mass media).
• Must have 1 - 2 years of experience, including internships, working with major corporations, and/or PR agency.
• In-depth knowledge of media relations from key trade publications to national outlets.
• Excellent writing and oral communications skills an absolute must.

• Must have manual dexterity to operate the computer and other necessary office equipment.
• Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling customer needs.
• Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke.
• Must be able to travel.
