Scheduler / Project Engineer (Finance)



GPI is seeking a full-time Project Scheduler with strong proficiency in interpreting traffic drawings, to support the major Bridge Restoration Program in New Jersey. The successful candidate will play a critical role in providing CPM scheduling, and coordination services, and oversight of traffic conflict management across multiple ongoing projects under this program.

Responsibilities:

Manage and coordinate the Lane Closure Calendar/Tracker across multiple active projects within the program using contractor's monthly progress updates, look ahead schedules and contract requirements.
Provide Lane Closure Conflict Management (LCCM) support to the Resident Engineers and Professional Engineers managing various interlinked projects.
Interpret and analyze MOT/MPT drawings (New York and New Jersey) and coordinate with Resident Engineers and Contractors.
Review, analyze, and provide recommendations on Contractor baseline schedules, revised schedules, look-ahead schedules and monthly schedule updates using Primavera P6 EPPM.
Identify schedule risks and opportunities and advise the client using scheduling best practices, industry standards and earned value management (EVM) techniques.
Participate and contribute to the schedule review meetings, offering suggestions and improvements as needed.
Develop and maintain construction road closure schedules using Microsoft Excel and Primavera P6, in alignment with client's Construction Management Division (CMD) standards and protocols.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Proven experience of 3 to 5 years in Roadway, Bridges and/or any transit projects.
Strong background in traffic engineering, with the ability to understand and analyze MOT/MPT drawings.
Demonstrated experience and interest in traffic lane closure coordination.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Knowledge of Primavera P6 scheduling software.
