Territory Manager for Halyard Global Products Division
Halyard, now part of the Owens & Minor family, is focused on moving care forward. The Halyard Global Products Territory Manager is the account manager and business builder for an assigned number of hospitals in a geographic territory. This person will be part of a sales team focused on maintaining and growing market share across many product categories. The Territory Manager will work in conjunction with an OR Specialist, Regional Director, Enterprise Director, as well as distribution representatives. The ideal candidate for the Halyard Territory Manager will utilize interpersonal skills and product knowledge to build and maintain relationships with key facility staff in assigned markets. Building relationships and educating customers in an ever-changing and fast-paced market dynamic. Achieve sales growth, product and category objectives within assigned accounts and markets. The Territory Manager position may lead to either a career in sales management or a higher level individual sales contributor position after demonstrating the appropriate skills and qualifications.
Products
Healthcare Organization- Surgical and Infection Prevention- surgical drapes/gowns, facemasks, sterilization wrap, patient care, personal protective apparel, exam gloves hand hygiene products and HAI Prevention Services, HYH Custom Procedure Trays, Medical Action kits and Trays as well as legacy MediChoice products.
Core Responsibilities
Account relationship development and business development of all products.
Orchestrate a strategic and tactical approach to drive sales with teammates
Networking throughout the supply chain
A dedication to understanding hospital finance and the relationships between manufacturers, distributors and Group Purchasing Organizations
Primary sales contact in acute care facilities and hospitals.
Work with nurses, surgeons, SPD, Supply Chain, Infection Prevention, Operating Room, Cath Lab, Labor and Delivery
Work closely with distributors selling our products as well as direct sales.
Contributing to the development of a strategic plan for the territory and accounts.
Contract and price negotiations and contract management.
Tactical implementation of the business and selling activities required to meet objectives
Sales positioning, analysis, and implementation within the facilities.
Qualifying Experience
Bachelor's degree is required.
Minimum 3-5 years of demonstrated success in medical sales experience.
Medical device or medical supplies sales experience required
Intermediate to advanced skills using PC based applications (Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) are required.
Strong oral and written communications skills
Ability to understand and utilize Industry Standards and Best Practices
Proof of successful sales track record
Tactfully Aggressive
Comfortable in Hospital Setting
Travel by car required
Clean driving record required
5 years of Medical Supplies Sales Experience Preferred
Sterile Processing Sales Experience Preferred
Proof of a successful track record
Prefer candidate to be in the Top 10% of Sales Force
Hospital Sales Experience Preferred
Established relationships within territory
Familiarity with the Challenger Sales Approach
Operating room sales experience preferred
