Electro-Mechanical Technician (Manufacturing)



We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electro-Mechanical Technician to join our Distribution Center operations. This role is critical in maintaining the reliability and efficiency of our conveyor systems, sortation equipment, and control systems that power the flow of goods through our facility. Position Summary: 

  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert for a wide variety of material handling systems, automation, conveyors, sortation systems and electronics equipment for the Lands' End distribution center.  
  • Work with in-house partners to manage the installation and implementation of new equipment.  
  • Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns. Serve as the troubleshooting expert and mechanical resource during equipment escalations. Coordinate resources to quickly resolve equipment downtime.  
  • Perform equipment inspections and identify and provide preventive maintenance and repairs on all Lands' End Equipment before it impacts operations.  
  • Ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics, blueprints and schematics. 
  • Respond to work orders to analyze and repair conveyors, product sortation equipment, and general building maintenance. 
  • Work Overtime and Weekends when needed. 
  • Safety - complies with all company safety rules; always uses appropriate safety equipment. 

Essential Skills: 

  • Experience with and knowledge of material handling systems, systems integration, and maintenance. 
  • Must have the ability to disassemble machinery, analyze defective parts, and use diagnostic skills to make required repairs or modify systems to ensure uninterrupted operation of distribution center equipment. 
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical operation, wiring safety procedures, and solid-state circuitry is a plus. 
  • Experience in Electrical Engineering or related technical disciplines with programmable logic controls emphasis. 
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment; Perform duties under pressure to meet deadlines. Work as part of a team as well as complete assignments independently; Take instructions from supervisors; Exercise problem-solving skills; and Interact with co-workers, supervisors, guests, and the public professionally and pleasantly. 
  • Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. 
  • Ability to obtain certification to operate forklifts and all Lands' End motorized vehicles.
