As the Data Steward, you are the subject matter expert in the data for your relevant domain. You will ensure data quality through collaboration with DTS, drive business enablement through use case and adoption tracking and development of a business glossary and participate in governance activities across the North America (NA) segment. You will support users of the data itself, the products that use the data, as well as the strategic direction NA will take with its data based on your learnings.
In this role, you will:
Be a subject matter expert in the data in their assigned domain – the foundation of our data-driven business processes
Primary accountability to work with DTS partners to put in place tools and processes to monitor and ensure data quality. Works closely with business users to root cause data anomalies, develop business rules and methods to catch and correct uncovered data quality issues, and craft recommendations for DTS partners to automate those recommendations to ensure improved future data quality
Advises business stakeholders on self-service data needs; supports Analytics domains with their data needs including collaboration with developers and PO's.
Owns and maintains field-level explanations for their data sources, including how each field can be used to address business questions by users of the data
Has a complete understanding of data platforms in their relevant domain
Understands the business needs for and tracks usage of data
Drives adoption of data sources across relevant business areas
Understands the scope of contracted data & services including authorized usage; supports renewal & RFP discussions
Communicates data updates & changes from data vendor out to org

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant experience
Prior experience using retailer POS data, inventory data, and Panel data (e.g. Nielsen, IRI, Numerator, Luminate, 1010, etc.)
Strong cross-functional communication skills
Being a champion of data democratization across a wide range of cross-functional stakeholders
Desire and ability to troubleshoot and drive problem solving
Ability to project manage and drive toward deadlines
Detail-oriented and process-driven
Preferred:
Prior experience working for a global, highly matrixed, Consumer Packaged Goods company
Experience creating automated data quality management rules
Familiarity with uncovering and championing high-value use cases for data
Understanding of database structure (systems and data)
Experience solving business problems with technology solutions
