Starts and operates conveyer system that feeds timber/tops into the chipper
Positions timber/tops on conveyor using pick tools
Stops chipper when jams or malfunctions occur, clean machine or conveyor of timber/tops plugs
Monitors chipper infeed conveyors for excessive waste or good wood, providing feedback to Green End Supervisor
Sweeps up saw dust, broken timbers and blocks with an air blower, pick tool, or shovel
Picks up scraps of broken wood with shovel, rake, or by hand
Paints various plant equipment and materials barriers, framework, guards, etc.
Keeps all rolls clean on all belts
Ensures knife guards are on anytime transporting knives
Changes knives according to procedure
Uses down time as clean up time
Mops floors, scrubs sinks, toilets, water fountains and other equipment with brushes and rags
Washes windows using brushes and rags
Follow Company policies, procedures, and safety rules
