Process Reliability Engineer (Finance)

Position Overview The Process Reliability Engineer is responsible for promoting process and facility improvements by analyzing and recommending solutions to process upsets and/or improvements to achieve production, safety and environmental goals. The Process Reliability Engineer will work in collaboration with the Plant Manager at the KIK Florida Household goods manufacturing plant to develop and implement the Reliability strategy and programs. This individual also works with department heads to execute asset reliability strategy and programs to improve availability, uptime, and overall equipment effectiveness. Essential Job Functions
  • Responsibility for manufacturing process in assigned area(s).
  • Troubleshoot problems associated with manufacturing processes and implements sustainable solutions.
  • Develop best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output.
  • Identify and prioritize process improvement opportunities throughout the area of responsibility.
  • Execute process improvement projects on schedule in a team environment in support of business plan objectives to increase productivity, reduce scrap and excess usage, improve quality, and enhance safety.
  • Provides technical leadership for continuous improvement projects for assigned area to make improvements in efficiency, scrap, speeds, quality, and safety.
  • Work with internal and external suppliers of materials, equipment, and services to execute projects, resolve problems and improve processes.
  • Identify, select, and modify tooling, fixtures, and equipment as necessary to improve safety, quality, throughput, and productivity.
  • Develop SOP and work instructions for processes, as needed, to support safe and reliable manufacturing.
  • Analyze data to identify root causes of manufacturing inefficiencies and implement appropriate countermeasures to improve quality, performance, productivity, and cost.
  • Ensure a safe working environment and help assess and minimize risks to the company in all areas such as health, safety, environment, quality, ethics, and customer service.
  • Identify and schedule required preventative maintenance items (PMs) to ensure optimum process reliability is achieved in assigned area(s).
  • Leads development, scale-up, and implementation of new processes and products or de-bottlenecking of existing processes, equipment, and their configurations to support growth objectives.

Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical Engineering or related degree.
  • 3-5 years of experience in continuous manufacturing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and ability to work with data to generate periodic reports as may be needed.
  • Working knowledge of packaging or converting industries preferred.
  • Detailed record keeping and communication of results to others.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • High level of initiative, innovation, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally within the organization.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and manage deadlines accordingly.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally both internally and externally.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and high level of accuracy & organization.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and excel independently in fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
