Sr. Revenue Accountant (Finance)
The Sr. Revenue Accountant is responsible for revenue and related cost recognition for assigned lines of business. An ideal candidate for this role is someone that is willing to learn challenging tasks and has an inquisitive nature to learn all aspects of the assigned lines of business. The candidate should have the ability to work well both independently and with other members of the accounting team and company.
Major Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
• Perform the month-end revenue close process, which includes the preparation of month end accruals and supporting detail schedules to facilitate deferred revenue, Work in Process (WIP) and applicable cost of services journal entries
• Evaluate and interpret monthly profit and loss income statements in order to analyze profitability of business units and help ensure monthly journal entries have been properly posted
• Support business unit finance personnel in managing balance sheet accountability; provide support during the monthly closing ad hoc reporting processes
• Perform monthly reconciliation of deferred revenue and AR WIP accounts
• Maintain/Monitor entries in revenue recognition software (RevPro) to ensure accuracy for balance sheet accounts and financial statement disclosures
• Analyze and research revenue accounting matters, providing accurate and comprehensive documentation of issues identified and resolutions reached
• Prepare and automate value added management reports and dashboard to support revenue analysis and tracking of key metrics
• Document accounting policies related to revenue and cost of services recognition that comply with US GAAP
• Drive continuous improvement of business processes and systems and bring best practices to revenue and cost of services recognition
• Interact with and provide information to internal and external auditors as necessary.
• Participate in ad-hoc projects as required.
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) with a major in accounting, finance or related field
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred
• Minimum 3-5 years of prior accounting, finance or audit experience required, public accounting experience a plus
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and financial accounting concepts
• Strong analytical aptitude – demonstrated problem solving skills and ability to work with large data sets and analyze/compare records
• Knowledge of accounting/ERP systems and supporting financial systems
• Knowledge of financial transaction processing, both automated and manual
• Experience working in financial environment with multiple legal entities and multiple systems that interface to a general ledger with a complex chart of accounts
• Intermediate-level Excel skills as well as familiarity with other Microsoft Office products and G-Suite
• Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP, RevPro, Salesforce a plus
• Report writing and automation software (Jira, Tableau) a plus

The national average hiring range for this job is $ 66,076.00 - 88,136.00 and the salary can fluctuate based on geographic location and qualifications. Pay is based on several factors which may include, but are not limited to: education, work experience, certifications, labor markets, etc. This role includes an opportunity for company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Core Company Performance Bonus.
The actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
