Align the sales organization's objectives with company business strategy through active participation in corporate strategic planning, sales strategy development, forecasting, sales resource planning, and budgeting.
Maintain annual plans for each segment that create clear roadmaps to acquire new customers, gain share, and enter new, attractive markets.
Work closely with marketing leadership to algin marketing resources against a common set of sales priorities.
Create an agile organization by continuously assessing opportunities for changes to the sales strategy and resource allocation, championing change initiatives, and remove removing obstacles impeding constructive organizational change.
What will you be responsible for:
Uses market insight and existing business trends to develop a sales strategy; develop the quota assignments and incentive programs to align sales efforts to an annualized sales plan.
Proactively maintain awareness of both external and internal competitive landscape, opportunities for expansion, customers, markets, new industry developments and standards
Create market segmentation and customer prioritization models to determine the best market coverage; to include the development of the right sales roles, territory sizing, and management ratios.
Establish revenue and profitability growth goals in each product group; use pipeline management to ensure a cohesive and consistent revenue generation strategy across the market.
Drive intercompany sales plans for key markets and products.
Maintain regional demand plans by customer; propose appropriate inventory levels and develop regional fufillment or stocking plans at key customers consistent with forecasts.
Maintain a dynamic price strategy to extract the full value of the CRL portfolio and assume a price leadership position in the market. Launch rules based pricing, discount authorities, pricing controls, and reporting on price/volume performance.
Lead the sales operations team in the deployment development and refinement of the sales strategy, KPI's, departmental and individual performance goals and objectives.
Develop the process and oversee capturing, interpreting and disseminating sales trends and insights, including competitive intelligence and enhancing customer relationships.
Establish and maintain management governance to ensure sales organization alignment to the annual plan, monitor performance, and launch alternate sales plans in response to sales trends.
Coach, develop, and provide constructive feedback to direct reports to foster an environment conducive to superior performance.
Build and maintain customer relationships: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders. Understand their needs, provide solutions, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
Collaborate with both Sales and Marketing teams on the processes for applying sales analytics to the new product development and product management processes, as well as provide sales insight in the development of marketing campaigns.
Partners with CRL's leadership team to develop sales forecast for SIOP planning

A few things we require:
Prior experience from industrial, building products or manufacturing industries preferred
Bachelor's degree in Business or related fields
Familiarity with CRM software and ability to leverage it for sales management and analysis
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex sales data and make strategic recommendations. Progressive career as a Sales Executive responsible for $400M+
15+ years in Sales Leadership role or related field
7+ years of leading a large-scale sales organization
Experienced change champion leading large-scale initiatives
Strong communication and negotiation skills with ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
