Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) (Finance)
Graduate of a two (2) year Medical Assistant program accredited by the U.S. Department of Education highly preferred
One (1) year directly related experience in a service capacity of individuals in need (e.g., children, youth, elderly, physically, emotionally and/or mentally disabled, special needs, etc.) preferred
Previous clinical experience in a medical office setting highly preferred
Certification
Certification or registration through an accrediting body is required (AAMA, NCCT, AMT, NHA, or NAHP)
Must Haves
Must have the ability to empathize and be compassionate to client needs
Must be able to work autonomously and under own initiative
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment with shifting priorities and multiple deadlines
Must be capable of exercising good judgment in crisis situations
Must be extremely detail oriented
Must be flexible and cooperative
Must be able to learn quickly and grasp new procedures and concepts
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Ability to work and effectively deal with multiple types of personalities in a variety of situations
Must possess and demonstrate good problem solving skills
Must support diversity
Must have access to reliable transportation, maintain a valid driver's license, current automobile insurance and a driving record that meets the guidelines and requirements of the organization
Background Checks
Must be willing to complete a background check as required by Aspire Indiana's policies which may include: Drug Test, Criminal History, Sex Offender Registry Search, State Central Registry Check, Employment Verification, Education Verification, and Professional References.
Other
Vaccinations as recommended by the CDC for healthcare workers are highly preferred. Written documentation (vaccine record) or titres (blood testing) may be needed to determine immunization status.
