About the position:
The Manufacturing Specialist will work with the Production Support Manager and manufacturing teams to improve the manufacturing throughput, quality, and costs of welded heat exchangers, and improvement projects relate to health and safety, including the following:
Conducts himself/herself in a considerate, professional, cooperative and helpful manner toward fellow employees, customers, vendors and visitors.
Complies with all company policies and procedures.
Follows all safety policies and company-wide safety requirements; encourages action assuring safe behavior; confronts unsafe behavior and conditions proactively and positively.
Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods, including welding.
Develop process, and all related tools and fixtures.
Plan and implement all process changes to increase capacity and improve productivity.
Continually look for improvements related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
Lead problem solving teams to address manufacturing related warranty, and rework issues.
Work toward continuous improvement and lean manufacturing processes.
Develop and train operators and production personnel.
Use computer assisted engineering and design software to perform basic design tasks.
Implement welding and process related cost savings.
Assist in quality improvements for welding and manufacturing processes.
Assist with technical issues for programming, nesting, and operation of equipment.
What you know:
Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline preferred. Candidates with 5+ years of manufacturing with lean work experience will be considered, to include the following:
Basic welding knowledge desired
Demonstrated problem solving, analysis, and troubleshooting skills.
Experience working with SOPs/Work Instructions.
Experience working with CAM software (Sigma Nest, Omni Win, Esprit)
Experience with AutoCAD, Inventor and/or SolidWorks
Experience with MS Office Suites.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Minimal or occasional travel may be required

Physical Requirements (lifting, climbing, standing, equipment use):
Shop environment with frequent walking throughout the day
Safety equipment required when present on shop floor – footwear, hearing, eyewear.
