What we are looking for:

We are looking for a motivated, bright, and talented Environmental Engineer, Geologist, or Scientist to join our company in our Canton, Massachusetts or Providence, Rhode Island office. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, have a desire to perform onsite field work, possess strong writing and verbal communication skills, and have the ability to work both independently and across multi-disciplinary and geographical project team environments.

What you will be doing at Woodard & Curran:

  • Collaborating with project managers and senior staff to solve environmental problems.
  • Collecting samples of soil, groundwater, and other environmental media in support of site investigation and remediation objectives.
  • Installing monitoring wells, performing remediation monitoring, and overseeing contractors.
  • Designing, operating, and monitoring remediation systems.
  • Assisting in the preparation of various regulatory submittals, work plans, technical memorandums, engineering calculations, and/or engineering design reports.
  • Managing, analyzing, evaluating, and interpreting data for use in reports and other visualizations including maps, charts, and 3D models.

What you will need to succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, geology, environmental science, or related field from an accredited program.
  • 0-3 years of professional experience with an environmental/engineering consulting firm.
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational, writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and on large multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office suite programs.
  • Experience with database software, ArcGIS Pro, and CAD is a plus.
  • Experience with programming languages is a plus (e.g., Python, R, and/or SQL).
  • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training is a plus.
