Purpose of the role The Accounting Specialist manages all forms of financial accounts within the bank. They keep accurate records, ensuring that invoices are paid when necessary. The analyze financial information, maintain complete records while adhering to the strict standards of our organization. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Ensure charges are accurate and payments are received promptly Review financial reports Communicate with clients to discuss account statuses, charges or discrepancies Participate in ongoing education opportunities to learn about industry trends and developments Prepare and maintain important reports that helps the organization run efficiently Education and Experience Proven work experience as an Accounting Specialist or similar role Understanding of accounting principles and current financial legislation Strong math and research skills Basic computer skills with knowledge of bookkeeping software Bachelors degree in accounting or finance is preferred Job competencies Organized and dependable Analytical and attention to detail Ability to problem solve and multi-task Verbal and Written Communication Self-Motivated Team Player Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive list of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required for this position.
